I love browsing second hand shops; There are so many treasures people pass on that you can find at them. I found this frame in a rather dark box, buried beneath gilded and plastic framed prints. The varnish was scratched and scuffed, the corners beat up, the glass was missing, and hanging by just a few sticky strands, was a sticker that proclaimed “Hand Carved in India.” It was beautiful. I bought the frame, took it home, and carefully fixed some of the damage, but left some scratches and scuffs because of the character it gave the frame. I believe the lady in the portrait be a lovely addition to your home or office!
