Brand New Site Design

*Republished from old site.*

Things are changing and coming together here at Stained Illusions Press. First, I have several new and interesting pieces to share over in the gallery, second I have some ideas on articles to write, as well as developing some more content for this site, third Stained Illusions Press is physically in the process of being moved to a different locale, fourth I’m working on more art ideas and fifth I shall be reworking the gallery pages!

The first and fifth objectives are actually very closely tied. In order to do the pieces justice, I will need to post multiple angles of each work. Which means I need to work on restructuring the gallery page, to allow for this. Probably include pop up pages of some sort. Definitely a scripting language. Will take some time, but this change will be well worth it.

First month or so will mainly be a lot of server side changes, updating/fixing/creating pages to make the gallery work the way I want it to. Also will probably be focusing on organization in the studio, developing the best work flow and lighting for the space, and other similar projects as I work on the new studio space.

What the move means is my posting will continue to be sporadic until I get the studio setup over the next couple of weeks. Once everything is unpacked, I’ll begin more regular postings. Possibly every Tuesday and Friday being article days, and mini updates in between. What I’m working on are theme days, where I’ll share new techniques, organizational tips, amazing artists, product and book reviews, as well as links to great art/crafty websites. Because I’ll be working on the new studio space, I’ll probably focus on a couple of articles about my research in studio organization.

So that’s the word on what’s going on. A little bit stressful, but a fresh start, and lots of fun!
